SAKSHAM Center for Child Development
SAKSHAM Center for Child Development, Lucknow is an early intervention center, a set-up by a parent with a special needs child, for the welfare of children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, mental retardation and multiple developmental facilities including specific learning difficulties. Early intervention is of vital importance for infants and children who have been identified as having a neuro-motor problem.
Our Mission
- To help these children to live and function in the real world and not in the artificial setting.
- Is to help children with special needs and enable them to lead independent lives with dignity.
- To support and strengthen other service providers – parents, teachers, caregivers, etc. We do not isolate the parents from the child’s treatment. Our approach is to teach the child’s parents and teachers exactly how we teach their children. The parents and teachers become the child’s primary therapists and we become their consultants.
- To sensitize society, community, guardians to take care of the needs of PWD’s.
- To setup training, awareness and advocacy programs.
